Abstract:
Microemulsion and Microspheres are now recognized as a colloidal drug delivery system that can improve the therapeutic activity and safety of a wide range of compounds.The present work in this thesis is divided into two chapters.Chapter (I)Formulation and Evaluation of INDin microemulsion systemThis chapter include:I- construction of microemulsion system and studying the effect of different variable namely surfactant, cosurfactant and oil chain length also the effect of Km on the area of microemulsion.A comparative study of these phase diagrams revealed that, the microemulsion domain obtained by using Tween 80-n-butanol-IPM and water at Km 2:1 was the largest one.II- Determination of saturation solubility of IND in microemulsion components .The obtained solubility data showed that, IND solubility was highly affected by n-butanol concentration.III- Electrical conductivity measurement of microemulsion system and viscosity determination. These factors are the most important for the determination of microemulsion type. Electroconductivity behaviour were constructed at Km 2:1 at differents water percentage, the conductivity of the system exhibited features characteristic of percolation conduction theory and there exists a critical volume fraction of water called the percolation threshold (P) above which the () increased. Viscosity measurements indicated that increasing oil volume fraction was accompanied by an increase in  and also increasing of Km lead to an increase in redIV- phase inversion temperature showed the effect of oil and it’s Molecular volume on the structure of microemulsion. Results indicated that the smaller the molecular volume of the oil the greater the degree of its penetration into the interface monolayer and the greater the asymmetric nature of the DROPlets
