New Instrumental Methods for Determination of some Pharmaceutical Compounds & Their Application in Pharmaceutical Formulations

The theis is concerned with developing feasible and sensitive procedufe for the anaylsis of some important sulphur containing compounds of pharmaceutical interest either in pure form or in some pharmaceutical dosage form. All the conditions of the proposed procedures as well as the experimental paramenters are studied. Discussed and explained. Besides, the data given are statistically analysed and compared with reference or official methods. The thesis involves four main part:Part I:This part demonstrates a theoretical basic background review on the official and other metods of assay of the cited drugs.Part IIDeals with the determination of the selected cephalosporins, after their alkaline degradation to the corresponding thiols, using silver and lead ions by AAS.Part III:This part concerns with the spectrophotomentric methods for determination of cefotaxime sodium, cefuroxime sodium and ceftazidime pentahydrate, the applied analytical procedures are divided into:a- charge transfer complexation using ρ CA and TCNQ for determeintaion of the former two cephatosporins.
