Abstract:
The ultimate aim for the pharmaceutical technology is. to provide drugs with 100%.absorpitivity and bioavailability, that is, provide optimum efficiency and no side effects. Towards this end, research work is currently focusing on the mechanisms and assessment of drug absorption and drug delivery.Improving dissolution rate of poorly water soluble drugs have been studied with great attention in view point of increasing total bioavailability of drug in gastrointestinal absorption. Micellaneous methods for improving dissolution ratehave been offered to develop a drug delivery system with a rapid dissolution rate for those poorly water soluble drugs. When a drug is formulated in a solid dosage form and intended to be take orally, the drug must be dissolved in gastric fluid before it reaches the circulatory system, it well recognized that, the dissolution rate of those slightly water soluble drugs is the rate limiting step in their biological availability when they are administered orally as a solid dosage form. The relationship between the dissolution rate and the biological availability has been discussed by wagnerIt is aim of the present thesis to enhance the dissolution rat of two water insoluble drugs via preparation of different drug delivery systems. Therefore, the thesis comprised the following two parts:1- Drug Delivery Systems of Praziquantel2- Drug Delivery Systems of Oxatomide
