Synthesis and Structure Elucidation of Important Metabolites of Praziquantel used as antischistosomal drug in Egypt

Synthes is of comounds 2-(cyclohexyl carbonyl) and (4’hydroxcyclohexyl carbonyl)-2’3’6’7- tetrahydro -4H pyrazino [2’1-a ] isoquinlin-4-one’5 ’ and 6 were prepared through dehydrogenatinof PZQ and 4b with sulfur . The combound 5 and6 were regarded as a convenient precursors for the synthesis of PZQ metabolites having hydroxyl groubp in ring c.Different trails were carried out to obtain derivatives of PZQ hydroxylated in ring B or C via the chemical oxidation of PZQ and compound5.
