Synthesis of Certain Styryl Derivatives of Pharmaceutical Interest

The biological activites of the styryl derivatives and substituted benzoxazines have been reviewed.The different methods of preparing the intermediates are thoroughly investigated. The experimental results attained are critically discussed and a plausible interpretation is a advanced in each case .Moreover most of the novel compounds were subjected to preliminary antimicrobial testing the data obtained are summarized.
