Abstract:
Pasting plasma lipids levels have been estimated in 30 subjects including 15 normal persons (group I), 15 cases of maturity onset diabetes (group II).To each subject, five mgms propranolol were administrated I.V very slowly over 5-7 minutes. After one, and two hours plasma lipids levels (FFA, Trigly- cerides , total cholesterol, lipoproteins) were, estimated. The plasma FFA levels of the normals , and diabe¬tics were significantly decreased after propranolol administration. The triglycerides level of the normals and diabetic were significantly decreased after two hours only from propranolol administration. The plasma total cholesterol level of the normals, and diabetics were significantly decreased after two hours, only from propranolol administration.:The plasma lipoproteins levels of normals, and . diabetics were, insignificantly decreased after propranolol administration.
