Abstract:
This work includes the biochemical effects of albutamide, heparin and the combination of the two drugs on some aspects of carbohydrate metabolism normal and alloxan diabetic rata.Normal Rats:TolbutamideTolbutamide in a dose level of (200 mg/kg body wight) produced a significant decrease of blood glucose level and liver glycogen content. The drug induced a significant increase in liver glucose 6-phoaphatase and liver glycogen phosphorylase activities.HeparinHeparin in dose of 100 units/ 100 gm body weight induced a significant increase of blood glucose level , liver glucose 6-phoaphatase and liver glycogen, activitiesThe drug significantly lowered the liver glycogen content.
