Abstract:
In exchange resins are successfully used i the production of sustained release preparations which are of major importance in pharmaceutical formulation. In thesis, the use of four different resins in prolongation of action of two antibiotics of common use, chlortetracycline and oleandomycin is investigated. The problem was -tackled via two main approaches , the first approach involved the study, of the mechanism of the diffusion of these antibiotics in cross-linked ’polymeric atructurea , and factors affecting that diffusion while the second approach involved a study of the release of these antibiotics from ’the’ cross-linked polymer matrices. Thus the thesis comprises two parts ;PART I . MECHANISM OP INTERACTION OF CHLOR TETRACYCLIKE; AND OLEAHDOMYCIN. WITH GROSS-LINKED POLYMERS AMDFACTORS AFFECTING THIS.INTERACTIONIn this part, the different factors affecting the diffusion of both mentioned -antibiotics through the four cross-linked polymers is, death with. This,, part comprises, four chaptersCHAPTER I : THE EFFECT OF PERCENTAGE OF GROSSLINKING AGENT ON THE DIFFUSION CHLORTETRACYCLINB AND OLEAWDOMYCIN INSIDE THE CROSS-LIN1CED POLYMER MATRICES.
