A Phytochemical Study of Papaver Somnifeyum L. Grown in Egypt

Papaver somniferum L. is the most important plant where morphine , codeine , narcotine , thebaine , papaverine and narceine , are the most important alkaloids present .In the present work , a phytochemical study of Papaver somniferum L. cultivated in Egypt using two samples of seeds ( 200 and 4 ) obtained from Australia and Hungaria .
