Abstract:
C-3phenyethylamine substituted pyrazolone.The work consists of two parts : -A ) Synthesis of N,N-dimethylamphetamine-N-oxide ( 14 ) and identification of its degradation products .B ) Synthesis of famprofazone-N-oxide ( 4 ) and identification of its degradation products .In the first part : - N, N- dimethylamphetamine-N-oxide (14 ) was prepared by methylation of metamphetamine (2) using Leukart-Wallach reaction (11) and oxidation with hydrogen peroxideIn the second part : - famprofazone-N-oxide ( 4 ) was synthesized from famprofazone ( 1 ) by oxidation with hydrogen peroxide and m-chloroperbenzoic acid .
