A Study of micro-encapsulation of medicaments

In additon to many non-pharmaceutical applications, microencapsulating has been utilized pharmaceutically to increase product itability, modify drug release, overcome drug incompatibility in formulations, and improve certain physical characteristics of form-ilations such as compressibility and flow. While, microencapsulation ;an be achieved by so many means, phase separation-coacervation tec¬hnique remains the, most frequently used one.The present work represents various trials to prove the. applica¬bility of microencapsulation for achieving certain pharmaceutical goals and solving some therapeutic problems, as well as offering a new approach for its application.It is the .target of the present study .to investigate the fundamental applications of microencapsulation in pharmacy viz , modifying drug release, enhancing medicament stability, minimizing their side effects, and improving their absorption characteristics. For this purpose, the experimental work in this study embraces the following parts.
