Determination Of Certaion Diuretics

Attempts to develop simple , accurate , sensitive and specific methods for the determination of some diuretics of different chemical groups both in pure form and in pharmaceutical preparations were achieved .The Thesis consists of the following parts : -1 – Introductiona – Includes briefly the definition of diuretics , their uses and their classification to different chemical groupsb – Includes historical preface of diuretics .c - Includes mode of action of different groups of diuretics2 - Literature ReviewIncludes the literature study of the methods for the analysis of diuretics and are classified into gravimetric , volumetric , instrumental and chromatographic methods .3 - Research objective and programThis part shows the requirements for analytical methods that are precise , sensitive and applicable to the determination of some diuretics . Different methods are tried and recommended to fulfill these needs . A brief account of the present methods for the evaluation of mersalyl , hydrochlorothiazide , spironolactone and furosemide as representatives of diuretics of different chemical groups is given .
