Abstract:
The macro-and micro-morphology of Fumaria parviflora was studied in order to identify it in the entire and powdered forms .This thesis include two parts :Part I : Botanical study :A - Morphological characters .B - Microscopical characters .Part II : Phytochemical study :The study revealed the presence of : Carbohydrates and/or glycosides . sterols and/or triterpenes , flavonoids , and/or basic nitrogenous substances , saponins and catechol tanninis .This study included a preliminary phytochemical screening of the herb and roots followed by the isolation and characterization of the different classes of compounds present .Chapter I : A : Preliminary phytochemical screening of the herb and rootsB : Determination of Percentage Yield of different extractives .C : Chromatographic Examination of the different Extractives .Chapter 2 : A : Petroleum Ether Extract of the herb .B : Petroleum Ether Extract of the Roots .Chapter 3 : Examination of chloro form Extract of the roots .Chapter 4 : Study of Alcohol extract of Roots .Chapter 5 : Investigation of the volatile oil of HerbsA : TLC examination of volatile oil .B : GC/MS Analysis of the volatile oil .
