Abstract:
The present work is a trial to assess mainly the effect of some slimming drugs as well as food restriction on some biological changes and plasma lipids in cases of Induced hyperlipemia , .The specific objectives of the study are:1- Effect of slimming drugs on plasma lipids and its fractions in cases of induced hyerlipemia either through consumption of high sucruse or high fat diets.2- Comparison between the effect of food restriction and slimming drugs on plasma lipids, blood glucose and liver glycogen.3- Effect of slimming drugs and’ food restrictions on food intake, body weight and food efficiency.4- To clarify the relation between the efficiency of the drug and type of diet consumed. The study was carried out on hyperllpemic experimental animals (rats). Hyperlipemia was induced by feeding either high sucrose (65%),or high fat (30% butter fat) diets for >8 days. The drugs tested were two anorexiants namely phentermine (Mirapront) and diethylpropion (Apisate) as well as one hormonal preparation ( Glandiposan).
