Radiosterilization of Some Pharmaceutical Raw Materials

1- The possibility of radiation sterilization of Starch, Acacia, Tragacanth, Light Koalin, Calcium carbonate, Magnesium trisilicate and Aluminium hydroxid gel was investigated,2- The bacterial counts represent the majority of the micro flora of Acacia and Starch followed by fungi and then Streptomycetes.3- Aluminium hydroxid gel and Calcium carbonate, fungal counts represent, the majority of the microflora, in the former, whereas in the latter bacterial count was the highest. Streptomycetes were not observed.4- Samples of Magnesium trisilicate gave the highest bacteri¬al count followed by Streptomycetes and fungi not detected Moreover, neither fungi nor Steptomycetes were detected in the tested samples of Light Koalin.
