Abstract:
water soluble vitamins including vitamin C and vitamin B individually were used in this work . Normal and diabetic rats were used and were given the drugs for 30 and 45 days. »The biochemical parameters which are studied are :- . :1- Serum sorbilol dehydrogenasc(S. D.H.).2- Glycaled hemoglobin (HBA 1C%).3- Serum lipid peroxide (MDA)4- Scrum triacyloglycerol.5- Serum total , HDL and I.DL cholesterol .6- Serum non estrified fatty acids (NEFA).1- In .normal / rats :Treatment with vitamin C( 30 mg/klg) and vitamin H6 (14 mg/kg ) individually for 30 and 45 days induced significant increase in scrum sorbitol dehydrogenase in comparison to control group.Treatment with vitamin C and vitamin B6 individually inducedsignificant decrease in glycatcd hemoglobin after30 days only , continued administration for 45 days induced non significant decrease .Serum lipid peroxide (MDA) demonstrated also significant decrease after 30 and 45 days. .Treatment with vitamin C and vitamin 136 induvidually induced a significant decrease in T. G., total , LDL cholesterol and NHFA after 15, 30 and 45 days . However HDI. cholesterol demonstrated significant increase after periods of treatment.
