Synthesis OF Some Substituted Pyrrolidine-2,4-Diones As Potential Antineoplastic Agents

Research objectives: deal with the aim and basis on which the new compounds have been designed.Results and discussion: this part is subdivided into two chapters. In the first chapter, the reactions utilized for the synthesis of the key intermediate,1,5-diphenyrrolidine-2,4-dione, and its new 3-and4-substituted derivatives are discussed. where as in the second chapter, novel enteries into 5,6-dihydro-5,6-dipheny1-2-substituted pyrrolo[3,4-d][1,2,3] triazol-4 (2H,4H)- ones are presented together with an up to date survey of the newly reported syntheses of such bicyclic ring system.
