Abstract:
Dennatological films were reported to be promising when compared to ointments or creams due to the following reasons:1- Releasing drugs in a sustained profile over a reasonable time.2- Flexibility of the dose included in the film3- Easy to terminate therapy by removing the film.Selection of the best film composition for any particular use requires studying the mechanical properties of the film, the moisture absorption capacity and its release properties. The objective of the present work was to formulate and evatuare polymeric films containing the antifungal drug, chlorphenesin. Therefore, the work in this thesis was performed in three parts:Part (I): Formulation .and evaluation of the physico-mechanicai propertiesof Eudragil films.Part (2): Investigation of chlorphenesin release from Eudragit films.Part (3): Clinical, evaluation of chlorphenesin Edudragit films (in vivostudy).
