Effect of Formulation additives on the awailafility of some antimicrobial agents

The aim of this study is to investigate any possible interactions between the two chosen antibiotics (amoxicillin and cephalexin), and some . excipients commonly used in the formulation of pharmaceutical dosage forms.Moreover different methods and techniques were used to determine any interaction between both drugs and the excipients physicochemical studies of interaction between amoxicillin and cephalexin with some additives.Chapter 2; elucidates the interaction between amoxicillin and cephalexin with some additives, by using different techniques.Chapter 3; concerns evaluation of the antimicrobial activity of amoxicillin and cephalexin in presence of some additives.In Chapter 4; amoxicillin and cephalexin were formulated in tablets and capsules and were evaluated to shed some light on the interaction between the drug per se and certain excipients in presence of other additives.
