This will result in we defined guidelines to individualized optimal dosageThis study was con ducted on more than forty eight Newsland mae rabbits weighing between 1.5 and 2.1kg .to measure the serum concentrations of haloperidol (apotent antipsychotic drug ) at different time intervals . alter oral and intramuscular administration of haloperidol suspension in polyethylene glycol -400/ water mixture .Rabbits were divided into six groups. (,iiand lll) were administered haloperidol orally by astomach tube in adose 2 mg / kgThe other three groups (LV.V and VL ) were administered the drug intramusculary in adose 1mg/kg . Each group contained between eight and ten animalsBlood samplets were taken as follows :-GroupISamples were taken at 0,1,5 and 12 hoursGrup II : Samples were taken at 0,3,8,24 and 48 hoursGroup III : Samples were taken at 0,8,18and 24 hoursThe same sampling times were appied for the three intramuscular groups .
