Esterification of theses alcohols reduced their pharmacological activity.Conversion of the -pyrone ring into furan ring produces corapounds less and lest- eitactive than kheliin as antispasmodics.the products o.f Gringard reaction with kheliin produces c-apounds that are less effective than kjellin as antispasmodics
