Abstract:
Complex or coordination compounds result from a donor acceptor mechanism or Lewis acid-base reaction be ewe en two or more different chemical entities. It may be a metal on or an organic moleculeInfluence biological action of medicinal agents . Of particular importance, is the relationship complication to absorption and distribution of s drug in the body; binding or complexation may be utilized in the control of drug actionSince many decades, there has been growing interest in the investigation, of coupler formation between caffeine a component of hob and cold drinks, as well as s co drug in many, pharmaceutical preparations and drugs of versatile uses .There are no investigations considering the question of complex formation between caffeine and some classes of nowadays widely-used drugs such; as tranquilizers of the phenothiazine type and antihistaminic of ethanolamine class however, there are two reports on the influence of caffeine on the membrane transport of chlorpromazine. It was, thus, deemed interesting to provide direct evidence for or contra complex formation between caffeine and chlorpromazine, as well as, some other related phenothiazine derivatives such as promazine hydrochloride, triflupromazine hydrochloride, and promethazine hydrochloride
