Biochemical Studies on the Effect of Soybean Feeding on Rats Pancreas

Experimental model has been designated to investigate the effect of soybean feeding on the activity level of some enzyme systems in pancreas of rats weighting about 40 gms at the start of the experiment were used and the animals were divided into:-1- Control untreated rats.2- Rats maintained on raw soybean diet for five months.3- Rats maintained on raw soybean diet for three months and put on normal diet for two months .4- Rats maintained on heated soybean diet for five months5- Rats maintained on heated soybean diet for three months then put on normal diet for two months.The results obtained can be summarized as follows :A) Changes in weight1) Body weightThere was a decrease in body weight of rats fed raw and heated soybean . There was a persistence of this decrease even after the feeding of normal diet for two months
