Abstract:
The present work deals with investigations the effect of hyperlipidaemic diet untreated or treated with two adrenergic blocker drugs , namely , phentolamine ( a- blocker) and pindolo ( B-olocker ) , on lipid metabolism of rat liver , adipose tissue , plasma , heart and aorta. In order to carry out such experiments , rats were divided into 4 groups ; Control ( normal ) group ; hyperlipidaemic group ; hyperlipidaemic treated with phentolamine ; hyperlipidaemic treated with pindolol . The period of feeding was 80 days . The drug was injected on the 35th day of feeding .Thin layer chromatographic yechnique were used for the fractionation of the neutral lipior
