Retrospective Study Of Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes In Zagazig University Hospitals (2005-2010)

Bone marrow failure syndrome (BMFS), or aplastic anemia, includes peripheral blood single cytopenias, as well as pancytopenia due to inability of the marrow to effectively produce blood cells. Because these diseases are rare, conducting research on them is difficult, and standards of treatment for most BMFS have yet to be developed.In the present study, the aim was to evaluate the prevalence of bone marrow failure syndromes in Zagazig University Hospital during the period of (2005-2010). This study also aims to study the clinical presentation of these syndromes as well as aim to record the outcome of this disease. To achieve that we did a retrospctive study on childern with BMFS who presented to hematology Unit, Pediatric Department, Zagazig University Hospital in the period between 2005 to 2010
