Abstract:
Hepatic steatosis is found in a broad spectrum of diseases. In many cases it was found that Obesity and hyperlipidemia have been most frequently associated with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis. MRS is one of methods which can detect even small amounts of intrahepatic lipid accumulation. We divided number of 45 subject to 3 groups 1) control: with normal BMI ,2) obese: with high BMI and 3) NAFLD group , then liver fat content was measured by MRS ,US and liver biopsy, then we compared between the results of the three used methods in the best of them in early detection of fatty liver in obese subjects. Our current study found that MRS was the most sensitive method in detection of fatty liver in obese subjects, and so it was considered more useful in early detection of fatty liver in obese subjects than US and liver biopsy.
