Abstract:
It is well established that plasticizer DEHP is present in a wide variety of medical devices. The infants who exposed to neonatal intensive care measures as blood transfusion, exchange transfusion, artificial ventilation oral and nasal feeding are more susceptible than general population. In addition it was proved that DEHP pass through placental barrier and breast feeding. So the objective of this study aimed firstly to investigate the general and fine structure of the postnatal albino rats lung. Secondly to examine the possible histological and immnohistochemical changes that may occur in the lung of newborn rats in response to mothers exposure to DEHP during pregnancy and lactation and compare the effect of it in different stages of lung development.
