Abstract:
The aim of this work is to discuss physiology ofspermatogenesis in human testis and therapeutic methods ofinduction of spermatogenesis. infertility, defined as the inability to conceive after at least one year of unprotected intercourse, affects about 8 % - 12 % of all married couples. In about one third of these couples, a male factor is the primary problem and in another one quarter, both the male and the female partner contribute to the infertility. This article summarizes current knowledge of anatomy and physiology of male reproductive system, etiology of male infertility, diagnosis and treatment of male factor infertility.
