Abstract:
objectives: To assess knowledge toward premarital, care and its role in diagnosis and management of health problems related to marriage and reproduction to assess the attitude of attendants in the primary health care towards premarital care.Subject&methods:A Cross sectional study done to assess knowledge toward premarital care and its role in diagnosis and management of health problems related to marriage and reproduction and to assess attitude of attendants in the primary health care toward premarital care at Awesh El Hager family health unit in Mansoura City, data collected through self administrated questionnaire .Results:There was significance difference(p<0.05) in knowledge of premarital care as regard social class ,marital status so that middle social class had good knowledge more than other classes, single attendants had good knowledge more than married attendants. There was significance difference (p<0.05) of attitude toward compulsory premarital care, premarital investigation, vaccination as regard those with good knowledge score. There was significance difference (p<0.05) of attitude to compulsory premarital care as regard middle social class attendants had an acceptance toward compulsory premarital care than other classes. There was significance difference (p<0.05) of attitude toward premarital investigation as regard single attendants had good attitude toward premarital investigation more than married attendants and middle social class attendants had good attitude premarital investigation than other classes.
