Abstract:
RANTES ( Regulated upon Activation in Normal T cells , Expressed and Secreted ) is abundantly expressed during atopic asthma, allergic rhinitis and atopic dermatitis , suggesting that it is an important mediator of allergic diseases ( Sohn MH et al., 2008 ).A functional mutation at the – 403 position in the promoter may have significance for atopic dermatitis , allergic rhinitis , bronchial asthma and others … Another polymorphism in the – 28 position has been reported ( Muro et al , 2008) .This study was designed to evaluate the possible association between RANTES polymorphism and some allergic symptoms in children which could have a significant impacts on the understanding and the treatment of these diseases .
