Health - related Quality of life in patients with hemophilia

Abstract:
According to the WHO definition Quality of life is defined as an individual’s perception of their position in life in the context of the culture and value systems in which they live and in relation to their goals , expectations , standards and concerns. It is abroad ranging concept affected in a complex way by the person’s physical health , psychological state , level of independence , social relationships and their relationships to the salient features of their environment .Health related quality of life (HRQOL) has been recognized as an important pediatric outcome measurement . one of the more promising measures to emerge in recent years is the pediatric Quality Of Life Inventory (PedsQL) .The analysis for hemophilic patients showed that there is statistically significant as regard anxiety score by a mean = 26.52 , CDI by a mean = 13.92 and disability by a mean =0.71, while in control group there is statistically significant as regard anxiety score by a mean = 9.12 , CDI by a mean = 7.74 and there no disability .so , anxiety and depression occur more in patients than control group.
