Abstract:
largely by wartime needs , led to the production of improve materials that were rapidly , although empirically adapted by surgeons for use in fracture fixation the materials currently popular are those that over the years have performed ” acceptably ” in clinic situation and only recently , the introduction of the field of biomaterials research had influence on subsequent technologic advances in this regard. (1)Biomaterial science has been defined as the study and knowledge of the interactions Between living and non-living materials.(2)Biomaterials science examines the mechanical, physical and chemical properties of materials as well as the complex host response to introduced bulk material, material surface and biomaterial applications.
