Beginning from the earliest stages of development, an asynchrony of gonadal development can be observed. This asynchrony appears not only within the same litter, but also within individual embryos.The degree of gonadal differentiation is highly variable depending on the region, the central part of the testis usually displayed lower degree of differentiation, but the peripheral part showed higher degree of differentiation.There is marked cell polymorphism within the stromal connective tissue, particularly gonocytes, Sertoli cells, giant cells with polypoid nuclei, ”wandering” gonocytes and cells with signs of apoptosis.
