CRF is a permanent disease associated with different complications and has 2 ways of treatment either dialysis or transplantation which could use a kidney taken from live donor or dead one. Live kidney donor seems to be much better than the cadaver one regarding the long term outcome of the graft. It is clear that the adverse effects of a kidney donation are rather minimal and consist of mild to moderate proteinuria and slightly higher blood pressure than could be expected based on the social and genetic background of the kidney donor’s general population and his or her age and gender.
