Abstract:
Peripheral nerves are cord-like structures that reside or extend outside the central nervous system connecting it to the limbs and organs. Peripheral nerve injuries can be defined as a defect that results in a disruption of a nerve. Peripheral nerve injuries are often caused by trauma. It takes three main forms; first avulsion or traction injuries, second laceration injuries and third compression.
