Abstract:
A large proportion of patients admitted to hospital havevarious degrees of heart and kidney dysfunction. Primary disorders of one of these two organs often result in secondary dysfunction or injury to the other, such interactions represent the pathophysiological basis for a clinical entity called cardiorenal syndrome.Renal insufficiency is highly prevalent among patients with HF and is an independent negative prognostic factor in bothdiastolic and systolic ventricular dysfunction and severe HF.
