AbstractChromoendoscopy is apromising technique for increasingsensitivity and specificity for diagnosis of premalignantmalignant lesions of the gastrointestinal tract.Chromoendoscopy combines staining and endoscopy.Different areas visible through the endoscope are highlightedwith one of avariety of available stains.Endoscopic mucosal resection and photodynamic therapy urgethe need for precise visual characterization which can be offered bychromoendoscopy.Accessories for chromoendoscopy are simple, accessible ,easilyavailable and cheap.Chromoendoscopy can add few minutes to standard endoscopyprocedure but benefits gained outweigh time and cost spent .
