Abstract:
A newly emerging disease is a disease that has never been recognized before. Examples are HIV/AIDS is a newly emerging disease, severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), West Nile virus, and Marburg virus (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. 2008).Re-emerging, diseases are those that have been around for decades or centuries, but have come back in a different form or a different location. Examples are influenza, bioterrorism, tuberculosis (T.B), and malaria (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. 2008).
