Abstract:
Febrile seizures account for the majority of all childhood convulsive disorders (30%), with 2-5% of all children likely to have at least one febrile seizure.Febrile seizures have been divided into two types: Simple and complex. where simple febrile seizures last fewer than 15 minutes and are generalized, the complex febrile seizures are defined as prolonged, repeated within the same illness, with unilateral or focal features.The aim of this work was to study some features of febrile seizures in children.This study was conducted on 100 hospital records for cases of children diagnosed as febrile seizures attending the outpatient’s clinic and emergency department of Zagazig university hospital during the period from Novembre2008 to May 2009.
