Abstract:
-this study concluded that weight gain affected by several factors the most important factor is pre pregnancy BMI, and others (e.g.) age parity, mother occupation.-this study adds to the increased evidence which suggests that obesity during pregnancy( pre pregnancy BMI ≥30) is associated with numerous maternal and prenatal risk.-Gestational Weight gain within the IOMS recommendation range is associated with the best neonatal and maternal outcomes.-Excessive weight gain during pregnancy is associated with maternal outcomes adverse. Either antenatal (hypertensive disorders gestational diabetes or natal increase risk of C.S., Failed induction, instrumental delivery, shoulder dystocia, maternal injures.-Excessive weight gain is associated with adverse neonatal outcomes (e.g.) macrosomia, LGA, low Apgar score at 1-.5 min and fetal injures.- low gestational weigh gain is associated with adverse maternal outcome (increase risk of anemia and preterm labor).-Low gestational weight gain is associated with adverse neonatal out come (low birth weight, intrauterine growth restriction, preterm baby, and low Apgar score)..
