Either antenatal (hypertensive disorders gestational diabetes or natal increase risk of C.S., Failed induction, instrumental delivery, shoulder dystocia, maternal injures.-Excessive weight gain is associated with adverse neonatal outcomes (e.g.) macrosomia, LGA, low Apgar score at 1-.5 min and fetal injures.- low gestational weigh gain is associated with adverse maternal outcome (increase risk of anemia and preterm labor).-Low gestational weight gain is associated with adverse neonatal out come (low birth weight, intrauterine growth restriction, preterm baby, and low Apgar score)..
