Abstract:
Autoimmune diseases as (SLE), rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren’s syndrome, (RA), Hashimoto’s disease and Graves’ disease are common in women of childbearing age. Most of autoimmune diseases may affect conception, fetal development, pregnancy, and breastfeeding infants. By it self or by the effect of the medications used to treatment of them. For many women with autoimmune diseases, maintenance of treatment is necessary, and in a few women, disease activity will require aggressive management. Fortunately, low to moderate doses of corticosteroids are generally safe and effective in most patients. Selected NSAIDs, hydroxychloroquine, sulfasalazine, and azathioprine may be considered for severe or life threatening disease.
