Abstract:
Aim Of The Work Careful Study Of Different Endoscopie Approaches To The Pterygopalatine And Infratemporal Fossae. The Endoscopic Anatomy Of These Regions Incuding The Anatomical Compartments And Contents Will Be Carefully Studied. The Relationships Between The Vascular, Neurological And Bony Structures And Foramina Will Be Noted And Described. In This Study, Twenty Sides In Ten Adult Cadaver Heads Were Dissected Endoscopically In A Position Simulating That In The Operating Room To Achieve As Much Real Surgical Information As Possible. Endoscopic Endonasat ”Transethmoid- Transantral” Approach Was Used To Access The PPF And The Medial Portion Of The Infratemporal Fossa. A Transpterygoid Approach Was Also Implemented To Access The Lateral Sphenoid Recess As Well As Drill Along The Posterior Communications Of The PPF.
