Abstract:
The aim of the work is to discuss screeing and management of endometrial carcinoma for earily detection and treatment of endometrial carcinoma.Endometrial Cancer (EC) is the most common invasive malignancy of the female genital tract with an estimated incidence of 39,080 new cases in the United States of America for 2007. Representing the fourth most common cancer in women and the number one in cancers of the female genital tract. The incidence of the disease has been increase over the last few decades. This is mainly related to higher life expectancy within the developed world and increase obesity. The death-to-diagnosis ratio of approximately 1 to 6 indicates a generally favourable prognosis. However, the key to reduce the mortality and morbidity of this disease is improved patient and physician education, which will result in earlier diagnosis, and treatment. It occurs during the reproductive and menopausal years and is predominately a disease of postmenopausal women with 75% of cases in postmenopausal women.
