Abstract:
Tissue engineering approaches for expanding and engrafting the differentiated progeny of stem cells have major potential for tissue repair and will make a major contribution to medicine in the 21 st century .Stem cells are generally defined as undifferentiated cell that are capable of self renewal through replication as well as differentiation into specific cell lineages.Consequently, interest in this field is increasing and this review focuses on recent advances in the study of skin stem cells, and their plasticity, with special reference to their potential uses in therapy of skin disorders as: autoimmune diseases, vitiligo ,alopecia,wound healing, epidermolysis bullosa and cutanous T-cell lymphoma.--
