The last few decades have seen an explosion in study of primary immunodeficiency and better understanding of the basic defects in many of them. Early recognition of them is essential to reduce morbidity and mortality so focusing on recent methods of diagnosis, prevention and treatment is the aim of these papers.In the past 10 years, there have been dramatic shifts in the fight against human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). By focusing on recent methods of diagnosis, prevention and treatment we hope the number of new cases of HIV/ AIDS to decrease.
