Abstract:
In this study we aim is to evaluate the safety, efficacy of carotid artery stenting using distal protection device and to study the immediate and six months outcomes of the procedure and evaluate the incidence of in-stent restenosis.The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of carotid artery stenting using a filter device for distal cerebral protection.The study included 33 patients, with 34 lesions, 20 males (60.6%) and 13 females (39.4%). Their mean age was 62.21+7.94 years with a range (49-78).
