Abstract:
The present study aimed to investigate the role of assessing left ventricular asynchrony at rest for patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy using tissue Doppler imaging in predicting the reversed remodeling after coronary revascularization in comparison with coronary sinus flow reserve assessment during dobutamine stress echocardiography . This work has been conducted in the period between March 2005 to June 2008 , in cardiology department, faculty of medicine, Zagazig university. This study included 50 patients (38 males, and 12 females), with a mean age of 53.5± 6.98 years, with ischemic cardiomyopathy. We excluded patients with: ACS, history of previous revascularization, poor echo window (technically difficult), significant valvular heart disease, congestive heart failure, cor pulmonale and contraindications to dobutamine stress echocardiography.
