PRE-OPERATIVE CHARACTERIZATION OF OVARIAN SWELLINGS USING ULTRASONOGRAPHY VERSUS MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING

The aim of this work is to correlate the preoperative sonographic and MRI findings of ovarian masses with results obtained from the final pathologic diagnosis to determine (a) how sensitive these different findings are in the diagnosis of some benign and malignant ovarian masses and (b) how often the features commonly seen in malignancy are demonstrated in benign neoplasm.
