Abstract:
A. First group: (Women at high risk) for this group:- Women should be given detailed explanation about the nature of early symptoms and signs of excessive uterine activity.- Instruct the women to call in the event of any pain or discomforts.- They should be counseled to avoid strong activities.- The women at a high risk for Preterm labour should be monitored by ultrasound examination every 4 weeks to detect inadequate fetal growth.- women suffer from vaginal and cervical infection should be given an aggressive dose of antibiotic to prevent Preterm labour.o Avoid loss of weight less than 50 kg during pregnancy.o Avoid anxiety and change faults habit such as drink alcohol and cigarette.B. Second group: (Women with threatened time early preterm labour):o Bed rest either at home or hospital as a routine prophylaxis against preterm labour is detectable.o Hydration & sedalation.o Proplylatic antibiotic.- surgical repair of an incompetent cervix should be performed by cercelage technique.- Prophylactic tocolysis should be given, since tocolytics are drug to suppress uterine contractions and it is used to stop uterine contraction which prevents further cervical effacement and the loss of mucus plug.o Delivery of the preterm fetus should be done in an obstetric unit with neonatal intensive care facilities. And fetal monitoring during labour is important to ensure fetal wellbeing.
