Enhancers of bone healing

Many approaches to enhancement of bone healing are in wide clinical use; yet the confidence in their efficacy is highly variable.Ultrasound waves have been used to promote healing in delayed union and nonunion of bone as they cause direct changes to local vascularity at the fracture site leading to accelerated bone repair. They also stimulate fibroblasts to increase protein synthesis.(1)The aim of the work is to study mode of action, advantages and disadvantages of different enhancers of bone healing.
